Texas Style Council Weekend

This past weekend I attended the Texas Style Council where I finally got to meet one of my bestie blog buds, Meghan of Everyday Fashion and Finance! I made my way to Austin early Friday morning so I could pick Meghan up at the airport, and I must say that my mom and hubby were a tad bit concerned that I was going off to meet my "virtual friend". However, Meghan was exactly what I had expected and is just as adorable in real life as she is on her blog.

After leaving the airport, we set out for the San Marcos Outlets and couldn't get to Kate Spade fast enough. Lucky for us, the entire Kate Spade store was an additional 40% off!! Needless to say, we both took full advantage of the sale and walked away with quite a few goodies! After a few hours of shopping and lunch at the cutest little nostalgic restaurant, Centerpoint Station, we then made our way to the 2nd Street District in Austin for the TXSC Style Swap. For the swap everyone brought two clothing items and a book and they were set up in a local shop so that we all could look through the items and select two "new" items to take home. Lulu's was awesome enough to donate items from their shop so I was able to walk away with a brand new purse and necklace from them!

On Saturday we attended various classes where we learned some tips/tricks for blogging and then we attended the TXSC Prom that evening. I think we would both agree that prom was our favorite event of the conference! There were tons of vendors to meet and fun items to try on plus everything is always more fun when you get to be all dressed up! Here are a few photos from Prom.

We ran into Megan of All That Glitters, she is such a sweetie!

My Outfit Details:
Dress: Gianni Binni | Heels: DSW | Clutch: Tory Burch | Bangles: Kate Spade Outlet | Earrings: J.Crew Factory

Here are a few more snapshots from the weekend!

Sunday morning, we heard Elsie and Emma of A Beautiful Mess speak about what they have learned from blogging, they are so cute! We also heard Camille of Camille Styles and Amber the co-founder of Reward Style speak. Overall, it was an awesome weekend and I had such a blast with Meghan! I can't wait for our next girl's trip!

By the way, I just created a Facebook page for the blog and would love for you to check it out!
