Feeling Fresh

I decided that it was time to finally break out my white denim for the season. It's funny to me that I love wearing it so much since I remember a time when I didn't wear it for fear of getting something on it and having to deal with it all day! However, I quickly overcame my fears after realizing how wearing white can create such a fresh look. For today's look, I decided to stick with good ole chambray along with some mint accessories. And I must say that I am absolutely loving these flats from White Plum since they are so cute and comfy (no break in period required). Plus, they just so happen to pair perfectly with my new colorblock infinity scarf from 9th & Elm. I am also wearing crystal drop earrings from Wild Butterfly Boutique which are the perfect neutral accessory (you can save 25% off your entire order with code PERFECTLYCOUTURED)!

Friday Finds: Weekend Style

Lately with the gorgeous weather we've been having, I find myself longing for the weekends even more than usual. So with that being said, I decided to put together my idea of a perfect weekend look. Dressing up a simple tee with some sparkly jewels and wedges is an effortless way to be relaxed, yet still look chic while brunching or enjoying dinner out on a patio. And since I will be outdoors, a pair of sunglasses is always a must in my book. I am loving this tortoise pair from Tesco Opticians which happen to remind me of a much more expensive pair I've seen recently. What is your favorite weekend look?

Dots + a Spring Style Giveaway!

Last year I missed out on this dotted dress, so there was no way I was letting it get by me again this year. It is simple, yet chic and only needs a few simple accessories to create a put together look. And did I mention that it has pockets? I seriously love a good skirt or dress that has pockets! Anyway, for today's look I decided to forgo the usual statement necklace route and reached for these gorgeous Purple Peridot earrings instead. They added the perfect touch of sparkle and glam to this look! Have you tried accessorizing with statement earrings lately?

Dress: J.Crew Factory | Heels: Betsey Johnson (option) | Clutch: c/o Mimic Design | Bracelet: Loren Hope | Earrings: c/o Purple Peridot | Ring: c/o Leopard & Latte

Neon Love

There is just something about neon colors that I can't help but love. So needless to say, I was excited whenever Shop Urbanite sent over this neon necklace. I love the combination of pink and yellow and have a feeling this won't be the last time you see me wearing it. I also think this necklace would look great styled with chambray and white denim or perhaps a pale pink dress. What color combinations are you loving this spring?

Comfy Stripes

Some mornings I just want to stay curled up in my favorite blanket, but unfortunately that rarely happens. However, throwing on a super soft and comfy sweater can sometimes be the next best thing. We are still having bouts of cooler weather so I decided to take advantage and wear this oversized sweater from Catch Bliss Boutique again. I love that this sweater is also long enough to wear with leggings and for those warmer days it would pair perfectly with faded denim shorts.

Spring Break in Paris

As many of you already know, the hubby and I spent spring break in Paris to celebrate our fifth anniversary. For our stay, we rented out an apartment in Le Marais which was recommended by my sweet friend Jenn of The Brandied Pear. Even though the apartment was small and on the sixth floor with no lift (hello stair master workout) we adored its character and authentic Parisian feel. We loved the neighborhood and its abundance of cafes and pastry shops. And of course while in Paris we hit up all of the major tourist spots. Here a just a few snapshots from our trip. The only unpleasant thing I can say about our vacation is that I ended up with bronchitis and food poisoning right after returning home so needless to say it has been quite the miserable week.

Have you ever been to Paris, if so what are some of your favorite spots?

Splurge vs. Save

With all of the new spring arrivals making their way into stores, I can't help but want to shop!  So to try and stick to my budget, I have been searching for less expensive alternatives for the designer brands I am loving. I have been eying these neon J.Crew pumps for what seems like ages, but I haven't been able to justify the price. I can, however, justify this alternative pair which happen to cost less than a fourth as much and are just as fun and bright! What do you think of these splurge vs. save options?

Metallic Brocade

When I came home from J.Crew Factory with these metallic brocade skimmers a couple of weeks ago, all my hubby could say was that they were hideous. I hate when he does that since it starts making me question if I really like them or not. Clearly I liked them, or I wouldn't have bought them in the first place. And of course the icing on the cake was when he told me that my beloved bow heels didn't match! So with that being said, I decided to dress them down a bit by adding a denim jacket and simple gold accessories. I really hope that I don't look "hideous" in this outfit! What are your thoughts on these brocade pants? How would you style them?
