Finding the Perfect Fit with Kohl's

With spring in the air and summer quickly approaching, I figured now would be a great time to talk about some basic wardrobe essentials. Call me old fashioned, but I have always had a pet peeve about bra straps showing when wearing sleeveless/strapless tops and dresses. And if you’re like me, you probably prefer to have a few versatile bras over having to select a different one for every type of outfit. Plus, I have found that having a properly fitting bra is a necessity in order for any outfit to look its absolute best. As for bra shopping, I personally find it overwhelming to walk into a department store that has hundreds of options to choose from and have no clue where to begin. So to make this daunting task a little easier, I used Kohl's Bra Fitting Guide to find my perfect fit before heading to my nearest store. In store, I selected a handful of bras in my size to try on and ended up with three different styles that are sure to work with any outfits I dream up! Find out which three styles I selected below and see what I wore them with!

1) I selected this body demi (nude color available in store) since it is a versatile everyday kind of bra that can be worn with a t-shirt, sweater, dress...you name it! A few things I love about this bra: its super soft touch, no-show cups, and smoothing wings which prevent lines and lumps on your backside. This bra seriously does it all!

Top: c/o White Plum | Denim: J.Crew Factory | Heels: c/o Kohls | Bag: Tory Burch | Sunglasses: Ray Ban | Necklace: old (option) | Watch: Kate Spade | Bangles: Kate Spade | Ring: Kate Spade (option) | Earrings: J.Crew Factory

2) I selected this racerback bra since I practically live in sleeveless tops during the spring and summer months! And as I mentioned earlier, I don't like for my bra straps to show and have found that a regular bra doesn't always fit the bill. A few things I love about this bra: the t-back no slide straps, the fact that the front closure doesn't pinch me, the feminine lace, and most importantly that it is comfortable.

Top: Gap (option) | Denim: Loft | Heels: c/o Kohls | Clutch: c/o Pink Slate Boutique (option) | Necklace: c/o Sassy Jones Boutique | Bracelets: Capwell (option), Loren Hope | Ring: David Yurman | Earrings: J.Crew Factory

Top: c/o Kohls | Denim: Loft | Heels: c/o Kohls | Bag: Tory Burch | Sunglasses: Kate Spade | Watch: Kate Spade | Bracelets: Kate Spade, c/o Stella & Dot | Ring: David Yurman | Earrings: J.Crew Factory

3) I selected this convertible bra which is a spring and summer necessity in my book. And I will be the first to admit that I normally find strapless bras to be unflattering and uncomfortable, however, I have been pleasantly surprised by this one. A few things I love about this bra: it stays in place better than other strapless bras I have tried, it has nice coverage, and it is actually comfortable.

Dress: Old Navy | Heels: c/o Kohls | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Necklace: c/o Purple Peridot | Watch: Kate Spade | Bracelets: c/o Cathryn Ann | Ring: David Yurman | Earrings: J.Crew Factory

Dress: Lauren Conrad c/o Kohls | Heels: DSW (option) | Bag: Kate Spade | Watch: Kate Spade | Bangles: c/o On A Wire | Ring: David Yurman | Earrings: J.Crew Factory

Here are a few more options to consider...

This post was sponsored by Kohls, however, all opinions are my own.

  1. I love all of these looks and your bra is virtually invisible under even the sheerest top. Strapless bras are my worst nightmare, that is the only thing about warm weather I don't look forward to. I'll def have to try the one you recommended!

  3. Thank you so much, Jamie! I don't like strapless bras either, I just don't think there will ever be a super comfortable one, but at least the one I mentioned is better than others I have tried :)

  6. I love your white eyelet peplum top, and the yellow and pink together could not be more fabulous!
I haven't been successful in finding bras at kohls, or anywhere lately, and keep buying my favorite discontinued VS style on ebay...
